In this article, we will go through the main lead profile fields and their purpose.

What are lead profile fields?

A lead is a potential customer who has expressed interest in your product or service, has a specific problem that you can solve, and is ready to buy now. A lead should be qualified based on the stage of the sales funnel they are currently in.

Lead profile fields are unique parameters that contain information about the lead.

Lead Profile Fields

Typical Lead Profile fields include:

  • Password, Last Name, First Name, Phone, Email - data entered on the side of the lead

  • Affiliate - the ID of the affiliate who brought the lead

  • Offer - the ID of the offer that was used to attract the lead

  • Affiliate name - the name of the affiliate who brought the lead

  • Country by phone - country detection based on the phone code

  • Hash / TP Hash - a unique value that links the lead between LD and PP allows to track the lead in the system

  • Adv Sub - an old unique value passed by the advertiser (if any) which is NOT currently used

  • Advertiser ID - the ID of the advertiser to which the lead was pushed to

  • Aff Sub - unique values passed by the affiliate that allow to pass custom data for a specific lead. The standard number of Aff Sub parameters to set up ranges from 5 to 20

  • Autologin IP Detection - allows tracking the IP address that was used when signing up the lead

  • Browser - shows which browser was used when the lead signed up

  • Device Brand - shows which device was used when the lead signed up

  • IP Differs - a feature that shows if the IP that was used to sign up the lead differs from the IP once the lead reached the advertiser

How to add new Lead Profile fields

Step 1. Open the Leads Distribution platform

Step 2. In the search bar, enter “Lead Profile”

Step 3. Click on the “+” sign and fill in the information for the new Lead Profile field

You will need to enter the following information based on your requirements:

  • Name of the profile

  • Key - the name of the field in the system

  • Format of the field (can be text, date, email, number, phone, hash, etc.)

  • Groups (optional) - where will this field be applied:

    • Profile - filled by the lead upon registration (name, last name, phone, email, etc.)

    • Traffic Provider - the data passed from an external source (Aff_Sub, offer id, browser, hash, etc.)

    • Calculated - the parameters that can be generated by our system (country by phone, affiliate name, IP differs, etc.)

  • Protected (optional) - determine if the field will only be visible after 2FA was passed

  • Editable (optional) - determine if this field can be adjusted after the lead has arrived in the system
