Targeting / Traffic Back URL’s Section

Edited

Overview

The Targeting section is responsible for filtering the traffic that enters the system. There are two primary ways to enable filtering:

  1. Default Targeting - Blocks specific traffic slices.

  1. Traffic Back URLs - Redirects specified traffic slices to different URLs.

Setting Up Default Targeting (Blocking Traffic)

  1. Open the Targeting section inside Offer or Affiliate.

  1. Press the Plus button near Targeting.

  1. Select rule type: Determines what traffic will be blocked.

    • Note: Choosing an Offer-related rule type when setting up Targeting inside an Offer is not recommended. The same applies to Affiliate-related rule types inside an Affiliate.

  1. Specify the rule's value.

  1. Press Submit.

Outcome: Traffic that matches this targeting rule criteria will be blocked.

  • Example: If you select a Country - Afghanistan blocking rule, no Afghanistan traffic will enter the system.

Setting Up Traffic Back URL

  1. Open the Targeting section inside Offer or Affiliate.

  1. Press the Plus button near Traffic Back URLs.

  1. Select the URL you wish to use. You can choose one of the existing Offer URLs or enter a new one (which can be any URL).

  1. Select the rule type: Determines which traffic slice will be redirected to this URL.

  1. Enter the rule value.

  1. Press Submit.

Outcome: Traffic slices that match the rule criteria will be redirected to the chosen URL instead of landing on the originally intended URL via the tracking link.

  • Example: If you set up a Country - Argentina rule pointing to the “Messi.com” URL, all Argentina traffic will be redirected to this site instead of the initial offer URL.
